  • Study of structural properties of inorganic materials in the gaseous, glassy, molten and solid states
  • Electrolytic production of micro- and nano-structured metal, metal-alloy and composite coatings
  • Electrolytic production of nano-structured patterns and metallic nano-wires/tubes
  • Metal recovery from solid wastes by electrodeposition
  • Surface characterization: morphology, topography, crystal structure, physicochemical and mechanical properties (hardness, corrosion resistance, roughness, wear resistance)
  • Optimisation of electrolysis parameters to control the growth of micro and nano-structured metal matrix coatings/films with enhanced physicochemical and mechanical properties (micro-hardness, corrosion and wear resistance, roughness)
  • Development of new technologies for the production of multimedia educational material for secondary and high level education
